Personal Information.
Daryl Humphreys, born, Melbourne, Australia.
Started playing in my first Band in 1969. Played in various bands during the
seventies. Had lots of fun, not much fame or fortune. Small number of television
appearances.
By 1981 I dropped out of the music business. I went back to
drafting to chase the money. Kept out of music, but it
always haunts you. 1989 bought a new keyboard set up and started to write, and
record some new songs. Moved to Queensland in 1998.
Back in the 1970's I submitted tapes of my original music to various recording
companies in Melbourne and Sydney on a number of occasions but did not get
accepted. I tried again during the 1990's but still no success. But it continues to haunt me. I keep
hearing this bloody phrase, "don't die with your music still in you". There is a
deep urge to, "get your music out there".
Now there is this amazing thing called "the internet". So here, after much
struggle learning how to create a web page, I can finally "get my music out
there", for better or for worse. So you can listen, laugh at, insult, shit-can,
or maybe even enjoy my music.
Yours,
Daryl Humphreys.
