Compact Disc Number 1 -

The title of the C.D. is named after one of the tracks. I produced the C.D. in 1997. I wrote, arranged and performed all the songs by myself. I was not playing in a band at the time and found it difficult to organise musicians for the task. I used a Yamaha electric piano, Roland sound module, Kawai sequencer. I mixed the music onto two tracks of my trusty old Teac 4 channel tape deck and sung the vocals onto the other two. I took the recorder to a studio and had the tracks digitised and recorded onto a C.D. I sketched "The Mummy" myself and had some help in developing the cover. All the song lyrics are inside the cover.

Compact Disc Number 2 -
"Deef" was my nick name back in the 1970's. "D" for Daryl became "Dee Fa", then became simply "Deef." The songs were recorded basically live in my home studio at Balwyn Road, Canterbury, Melbourne, and at some local venues, in the 1970's. I used my Teac 4 channel tape deck. Tracks 12 & 13 were done later in 1994...The original tapes are nearly 30 years old and had to be "re-baked" to make them playable, and then copied digitally in November 2002.....The band was called "Balwyn Road" because most of us lived in a home in Balwyn road, Canterbury, Melbourne. The back cover of the C.D. shows a picture of the drummer Pete Keown in a tree at the back of the house. That was to be the cover of our first album. It never happened. The band broke up and we all went our separate ways.

Daryl Humphreys ( Deef ) - keyboards, vocals.
